Sorry Lammar, due date was 8PM yesterday. (Admittedly my bad for the 20-ish hour delay.)
Ball order is Sunspider -> Thalia V1 -> Sunspider -> Thalia V1 -> HunterX55 -> Sunspider -> Palamedes -> Thalia V1 -> HunterX55 -> Sunspider -> Palamedes
Ball #1 rolls once, then fails!
Ball #2 rolls once, then fails!
Ball #3 rolls once, then fails!
Thalia V1 gets the Pidgey with Ball #4.
All players have had an opportunity to nominate pokemon, and all players have at least one pokemon. Please wait while I update inventories, then we will proceed with the Training Event portion of the 1st round.

During a Training Event, players have 3 actions. The following are valid actions, and can be repeated (i.e. you may choose to do one option 3 times, or each option once, or any other combination:
- Level up a Pokemon by one. Pokemon are caught at Level 1. Those that can evolve can be levelled to 10. Those with no evolution can be levelled to 20 or until all their stats are maxed out. When a player levels a Pokemon, they increase a stat of their choice by 1/2.
- Evolve a Pokemon. A Pokemon can only be evolved if the player has enough Evolution Points (acquired through battle and searching for items) and the Pokemon is at Level 10. An evolved Pokemon keeps half of the stat boosts it gained from levelling, but has better base stats, and returns to Level 1.
- Search for items. This can find balls, Evolution Points, and other useful items, at random.

On nicknames:
It was intended that players give them to nicknames would be suggested when the pokemon were caught. I'd be open to nickname suggestions now, and I'll update the pokemon.

Gonna level up Arclawmedes three times, leaving Donne alone for now (I assume we need to specify who is being leveled up).
Arclawmedes is obviously my Krabby, and Donne my Bellsprout.

Sunspider levels Diva to 2, increasing their Speed by 0.5.
Sunspider finds 5 pokeballs and 2 potions (heal a pokemon you own 5HP at any time).
Palamedes levels Arclawmedes to 4, increasing their Attack by 0.5, their Special Attack by 0.5, and their Speed by 0.5.
Thalia V1 levels Mocha to 3, increasing their HP by 0.5, and their Attack by 0.5.
Thalia V1 finds 2 potions.
LammarWesley levels Bow Chow to 3, increasing their HP by 0.5, and their Special Attack by 0.5.
LammarWesley finds 2 Great Balls (pokeball with higher catch rate) and a potion.
HunterX55 levels Todd to 3, increasing their Special Defense by 0.5, and their Attack by 0.5.
HunterX55 finds 2 Evolution Points (used to evolve pokemon).

Question, it says in the rules we were allowed to pick the stat to increase in the rules. Were we supposed to do that, or us not tell you which stat to upgrade made it random?

You are correct. Seeing as everyone made that mistake (?), and since I'm not likely to start the battle event until later tomorrow, I'd be open to people specifying what stats they wanted to boost after the fact.
(As an aside, this and other points of confusion/oversights/etc. are things that I'm following to improve the game system for Round 2. This is the first iteration of this game for all of us, players and mod included.)

Arclaw is already a strong boy, I think I would prefer if he had leveled up Speclal Defence (instead of Attack). Special Attack and Speed up is fine.

Rewards for the battle event are as follows:
1st: 3 Evolution Points, 6 Pokeballs, 3 Potions
2nd: 1 Evolution Point, 3 Pokeballs, 2 Potions
Others: 1 Pokeball, 1 Potion
Please PM me the following:
- What Pokemon you would like to use for this battle, if you're Palamedes.
- What other player you would like to target.
- What kind of attack you'd like to perform (physical or special).
Actions are due in 3 days, or 12/10 6PM MST.

An aside: Technically Palamedes should've chosen their Pokemon first, then everyone would've chosen their moves and opponents. As Palamedes powered up only one of their pokemon, and for the sake of brevity, I am maintaining selections as they stand.
SPEED 2: (Ordering tie is resolved randomly.)
LammarWesley's Bow Chow uses a special attack against Arclawmedes: Bow Chow deals 1 damage (fire-type not very effective against Krabby!).
Thalia V1's Mocha uses a special attack against Todd. Mocha deals 0 damage. (normal/flying-type not very effective against Geodude!)
Palamedes's Arclawmedes uses a physical attack against Diva. Arclawmedes deals 8 damage!
SPEED 1:
Sunspider's Diva does nothing.
SPEED 0.5:
HunterX55's Todd uses a physical attack against Diva. Todd deals 3 damage. Diva faints.
Standings:
1st. LammarWesley's Bow Chow (100% HP, 1st in tiebreakers with 4 HP max (1 per 1/2 stat))
2nd. Thalia V1's Mocha (100% HP, 2nd in tiebreakers with 3 HP max)
