yeah the guy who made undertale also made a bunch of music for homestuck
the "vriska song" was something he made before homestuck was a thing though, he made it for a (retrospectively bad and embarrassing) earthbound romhack

okay wait, some more words about this:
Undertale is good, and it's super popular right now, but I don't think it's the new Homestuck despite its very small ties to Homestuck. For one, Undertales characters are actually well-written

they are though. Also, being a videogame written with no use for a sequel or anything, it's already finished, thus, you know, the surge in popularity is going to fade much sooner, but in a better pace. There is some more stuff being made though that should keep the fandom alive, like, one of the kickstarter tiers was to make some comics? Those haven't come out yet so that'll be neat.
