Yeah and this is pretty much optimal town miller play, and I feel pretty good about Seedy otherwise. I think you've mostly got yourself to blame here RL, whoops. Yeah 'accidental night action activation' would not have happened through a post in the thread for multiple reasons - including the fact that before the start of the last night phase Mathgirl specifically said posts in the thread would not activate abilities beyond the 'open present' stuff at the start of D1. Which means either robottobt straight-up forgot to check anyone N1 and isn't saying so for some reason, or they're being super cagey about the check for other reasons (such as they're scum and don't want to toss more possibly revealing 'choices' out there). That being said, scientist + shotgun cop in a game with a miller still isn't absurd balance, so I would not rule out RL + robottobt both being town completely. That said robottobt's current strange statements (dog year that is the most dog?) are not particularly convincing. Think I still wanna lynch CSJ today though. That being said this extension is not worthless CSJ because we're getting town-helpful info re: what's up with RL and robottobt and it'll hopefully also give RobotNerd time to check up on the thread again. RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - seedy - 06-06-2018 yeah, sorry RL, I should maybe have made my miller claim more straightforward and obvious (instead of being jokey and using some jargon)...it’s an awkward thing to bring up, and I didn’t want to divert too much attention from actual lynches into a mechanical/gameplay debate RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - seedy - 06-06-2018 also (accidentally hit post) robot if you had a scientist item and have decided to try and parlay that into a full claim you should probably come clean (while you still can) RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Cat - 06-06-2018 I honestly don't believe an investigative role like that would just put the claimed miller in both of their groups like what the fuck RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-06-2018 I think Laser just missed Seedy's miller claim on D1 entirely because they weren't reading closely enough Cat, which while goofy I can see happening :v RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Schazer - 06-06-2018 I'm very ok with a robotbt lynch tomorrow if their N3 check is as incomprehensible as their previous ones Wouldd v much like CSJ dead today tho RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Schazer - 06-06-2018 Also yes I'm Not Just A Mason. Me and Solaris also thought it was pretty Woah RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-06-2018 I mean Sol was also a role in addition to being a mason so hey, power couple RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Acionyx - 06-06-2018 Votes: Nercania: (0) (Wheat) CSJ: (6) (Seedy, AwkwardCarapace, nercania-orccelga, Reyweld, Palamedes, Mirdini) Seedy: (1) (Robust Laser) Absaining: (9): (Schazer, Akumu, Sunspider, Robottobt, CSJ, a52, Granolaman, Pharmacy, Cat) With 17 alive it takes 9 to lynch and 4 to soft lynch. Countdown to Day End New deadline is 10 PM CST June 7th RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-06-2018 Here's a New Countdown Timer for the updated deadline. Though we've only got 28 hours left in the day so I might just have to petition y'all for another extension vote considering RobotNerd's still awol and we still haven't had two people check into the thread at all :P RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Robust Laser - 06-07-2018 Yeah my current thoughts are that maybe I'm just bad at mafia. RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Robust Laser - 06-07-2018 Unless I'm right about that thing quoted in which case I'm a super smart mafia genius. RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-07-2018 (06-07-2018, 12:05 AM)Robust Laser Wrote: »Yeah my current thoughts are that maybe I'm just bad at mafia. well hey you can always get better goin' forward! and not including seedy in your future checks ;v RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-07-2018 I guess I should also report on some general item news: while I appreciate what folks sent my way last night I unfortunately only got one thing that's valid for my Combinator to do work on, so would deffo still appreciate some other parts so I can maybe craft a useful thing. As for any other theoretically useful things I got that can't be Combinator'd I don't have news on that front just yet. RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Granolaman - 06-07-2018 Hey RL: for reasons I'll explain tomorrow, I'd like to request that you exclude a52 from your check list tonight. RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Robust Laser - 06-07-2018 I also thought I was good at mafia before this. RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Schazer - 06-07-2018 Oh right: Who the frick's got my recipe book. You're going to lose that because of Springnanigans so you should make sure to read that sooner rather than later RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-07-2018 so wheat do you trust robottobt over laser or do you think they're both scum or what's up there because I found Laser's reaction to Seedy's miller deal (when it was finally brought to their attention) a lot more believable than robottobt's stuff so far RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - awkwardcarapace - 06-07-2018 (06-07-2018, 02:56 AM)Wheat Wrote: »[Dog has achieved a new word of speech! Out of all the developments that have happened today this is undoubtedly the most important RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Palamedes - 06-07-2018 I don't super believe Robust Laser either but yeah I find it a lot more believable and genuine feeling than Robo and also don't believe they'd be counterclaiming each other with such a dangerous role this early when they were both more marginally looked at before either vOv. aC any comments on what's been going on besides perish slash did you ever end up revealing the other people you chose/why you chose them (without giving away too much role info if you still want to hide details)? RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-07-2018 Oh yeah quick clarification q for @Robust Laser: with your shotgun investigate, do you just find out that some number of people (could be 1, could be all) in your shotgun investigate are guilty, or do you get told a specific number or how does that work? Re:robottobt & rl - I definitely believe RL over robottobt (who I think is probs scum) BUT I'm a little wary over what RL said. Like that whole "bad at mafia" biz seems like, I dunno, kind of a iffy thing to say? Cop-out-and-backpedal-like, if that even makes sense I'm going to keep who I chose N2 to myself for now, I've gathered some clues about items and stuff like that to help me figure out what exactly's going on, in a future day I'll probably reveal who I chose! RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - seedy - 06-07-2018 RL, I would personally advise you to stop trying to focus your role on finding a single scum, since with the way your role works that'd be pretty difficult and involve multiple nights for one guilty. clearing townies is more useful than it seems (narrows the field of mislynches), and getting a bunch all at once (drivers notwithstanding) is nothing to sneeze at. I guess since we're talking about items I might as well bring this up, although I don't want mafia to steal it from me, but.......I Gots A Noose. it's a oneshot judge. I got it from the present d1...I didn't check what it actually did in the item database until d1 ended (I didn't expect to get something that powerful out of a random d1 present) (I kind of wish we could get short descriptions in our qt instead of having to go track down the item database link. I don't get why we can't) but I probably wouldn't have used it that day anyways, since that'd be antitown without any real wagons for info with all the itemswitching roles floating around it has a chance of Disappearing from my inventory at any time, so...basically unless you guys decide you want to do a trust fall with me Don't No Lynch Ever Again This Game not that it's likely everyone will, but...gotta cover the bases RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Granolaman - 06-07-2018 protip: toss the database link into your QT RE: Nostalgfia Day 3- A very very long time. - Mirdini - 06-07-2018 Really hope we don't have any day-ending abilities for the noose to trigger with because that item could get scary fast otherwise assuming it got passed to scum or somethin'. Speaking of which, how many claims of item-moving roles do we have so far? Just the Wheat-dog or? |
