RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Mehgamehn - 04-11-2012 Taco Bell would have you eating meat four meals a day AND NEVER SLEEP RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Schazer - 04-12-2012 There's one really good burger joint in Dunedin, which was a huge hit with my friends when they visited due to having falafel and tofu burgers as vegetarian options. Having said that, and having tried a McDonalds burger on occasion, I think they have slightly better standards for what constitutes food than on the continents. I still wouldn't eat it every day after a teenage rebel phase put me off fast food in general, but we're still small enough a country that "locally sourced" food is actually quite feasibly that. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Gnauga - 04-12-2012 That's largely due to dehydration. A similar experiment was conducted with a patty constructed out of fresh ground beef. It appears that the shape of the patty is more significant than its quality. Any patty with a similarly high surface area will dehydrate before decomposition can set in. Meanwhile, a fresh happy meal in a sealed plastic bag will mold quite readily. Also helpful are making the burger well done. Not to say that it's good for you, but it will decompose. Citation: Serious Eats RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - MaxieSatan - 04-12-2012 mcdonald's fries are vastly overrated whenever discussing fast food and i hear anyone say they're the best fries, i die a little inside go literally anywhere else and you will find better fries that includes the dumpster behind the wendy's RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Mr. Arsenic Nog - 04-12-2012 Chik-Fil-A has the best fast food fries. Hands down. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - MaxieSatan - 04-12-2012 (04-12-2012, 01:10 AM)Mr. Arsenic Nog Wrote: »Chik-Fil-A has the best fast food fries. Waffle-fries are the best invention You just feel like you are eating something grand RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - SleepingOrange - 04-12-2012 The best fries I ever had were from an authentic little British fish and chip joint. Because they fry all their fryables in animal fat. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Plaid - 04-12-2012 The best ones I've had were on the way to Akaroa (A touristy town an hour and a half away from where i live). We decided to stop at the new cafe that popped up at the usual rest stop and could immediately tell why it was still alive when the other cafe there has been well established for years. Holy crap. @___@ Especially remarkable in that this place is basically the two cafes, an art gallery and a petrol station. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Yoshi - 04-12-2012 Man...all you guys and your having actual OPINIONS on fast food. I feel like an underclassman overhearing a bunch of seniors talking about advanced physics after being proud I did well on a science pop quiz :u RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - ☆ C.H.W.O.K.A ☆ - 04-12-2012 I swear, the beerbattered fries at the local sandwich shop are the best you'll ever have. Soft and crispy, salty and not, and the sandwiches aren't half-bad either. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Robust Laser - 04-12-2012 The best fries are from a shitty Burger Baron down the street. The state of the place is just awful and they don't clean up nearly as much as they should. The burgers are subpar, but 3 for 3.33 so pretty cheap, but for a few bucks they'll give you a gigantic bag of french fries that are seasoned just perfectly. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - g0m - 04-12-2012 One time I ordered "tasty chips" from a take-away. They were chips with garlic sauce, melted cheese, and bacon. Overall I would rate it as "hard to breathe afterwards" RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Pick Yer Poison - 04-12-2012 I don't eat fast food generally because eating out is too much of a hassle to do it for things that aren't special dining out with family occasions. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - MaxieSatan - 04-12-2012 Okay my favorite type of fry is curly fries but also I want to tell you a story. When I first started coming to high school, they had these FUCKING AMAZING FRIES that were the BEST THING EVER. I specifically got those fries every fucking day. Then they stopped having them about halfway through sophomore year. They'd have bags of shitty-ass chips, or lame substitute fries, or god forbid potato wedges. I am cool with potato wedges when they are actually good, like made with garlic and herbs and maybe some butter. These were not. But anyway this year they started serving my favorite fries again, although apparently not every day?? But whenever they are there I am basically in heaven. Also there used to be a burger place down the street which had really good fries too, but they went out of business and were replaced by a(n admittedly wonderful) sammich shop. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Mehgamehn - 04-12-2012 "Oh yeah this is the school cafeteria here have some baked Lays" No High School, I don't think I will RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - AgentBlue - 04-13-2012 RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - AgentBlue - 04-13-2012 (as for fries, Iiiii have never had /exceptional/ fries worth mentioning ;A;) (what is my life) RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - g0m - 04-13-2012 no memorable fries? wow... if you can call that a life... RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Infrared - 04-15-2012 Haha oh man, it's funny the things alcohol makes you do like, ,my neighboor is trying to sloppily speak english or something it's really funny but it añlso makes you do stupid things like posting about things your neighboor does at 7am like who even cares. Also skipping punctuation. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - btp - 04-15-2012 It also makes you throw your phone into the backyard because you took a video of a friend taking a leak in said backyard and you don't want him to delete the video because it's funny? It also somehow helps make peeling antld eating crawfish an enjoyable activity. Also it makes you cook really terrible things. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Jacquerel - 04-15-2012 Once I got drunk and woke up the next morning in a crypt surrounded by the necromantically animated bones of my ancestors That was a laugh and a half let me tell you RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - waterbottles - 04-15-2012 I am 25 and have never been drunk. Things I don't like, but everyone else does: Alcohol Soft drinks I hate going to bars (oh god, one time a friend of mine dragged me out to one, and there, well, were annoying drunk people playing with six foot inflatable penises. Ugh), and I hate the taste of alcohol. I feel like I'm missing out, sometimes, when I visit old friends, and they are sitting around drinking, but can't stand beer for tasting like liquid hot dog buns, or anything else for burning my throat. I suck at being young. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - Robust Laser - 04-15-2012 I don't drink, but I like going to the pub with my family or friends. There's a weekly music trivia that I tend to go along with just in case it's one of the songs I actually know that my dad doesn't. But oh man let me tell you when the answer is Prozzak or the Arrogant Worms, I am a valuable asset. For one song every other week. RE: This is gonna be the thread where we talk about stabs - btp - 04-15-2012 Alcohol of any sort is very much an aquired taste and preference can vary greatly with the individual. And by "preference" I guess I really mean "experience". A lot of people have very negative experiences with etoh and choose to avoid it. And for good reason! Alcohol can easily turn you into a bumbling asshole (or maybe it just brings out the bumbling asshole that was inside of you all along!) not to mention the really awful health implications of unchecked use. (which I see way too often during hospital times) Oh speaking of which the 50 year old man who is having alcohol withdraw and can't think or walk coherently needs to be escorted out of the bathroom.
