Clarification: I was a little lenient when it came to judging rule 4 last night. Having gone back through the thread, I don't think I would strip any of the posts which passed it of said pass, but it's worth bearing in mind that what made me make those posts pass rule 4 is unlikely to work in a winning post. I am probably going to start leaning towards the less generous side with my rule 4 judgements... and yet, regardless of how I judge the following, I can promise you that the results would be the same...

This post is just as irritating with regards to rule 1 as it used to be, but it fails to pass it or any other rule.

okay I decided to let something pass that wasn't entirely explicit in my wording for rule four based on the fact that I wrote it out very quickly
and now this morning I have put it in the wording perhaps a little stricter than I was thinking last night
