your npc group in ffxiv is ok but they dont get fully realized until the latest expansion which really sucks imo!!! other than alphinaud, who is my precious elf son, they really dont get a lot of characterization or growth until HW... but it's been really good...
also theres so many side characters bc its an mmo my favorite set is these three students of a crystal scholar dude who like, has three students who all think they're the greatest student of his and they're all terrible its good imo
also dragons are great and haurchefant greystone is the greatest npc in any mmo ever
