Just as you said that, I had an epiphany that that fucking show is where my mysophobia started.

Baikinman's fucking goons were "Kabirunrun", Kabi meaning mould.

Oddly enough, I have no such issue with anpan themselves, because they're delicious. I think I remember being disappointed though when I first ate one that they weren't the size of your head.

Spending four years as a child in Japan watching these shows while not understanding a single word can’t have been good for me. On the plus side, it means that リアルアンパンマン is only an enhancement of the experience, instead of childhood-ruining.
