This is Doodlebird.

Doodlebird, for the moment, is a blank slate. They are your representative in the Doodle World. Once you assign Doodlebird basic traits, Yours Truly shall grant them autonomy. Although they're free to do as they please, Doodlebird will look to you for guidance, and follow your advice more often than not.

The veil between the Doodle World and yours is exceptionally thin in places. When Doodlebird enters such area, you may engage in direct dialogue with Doodlebird—but bear in mind, they can't survive in these places long. Conversations between yourselves and Doodlebird shall be short indeed.

They have an important task to complete. Please assist them on their journey and keep them in good health. Although influencing Doodlebird's perception of yourselves runs contrary to Yours Truly's principles, Yours Truly will imbue them with a predisposition to trust you—try not to abuse their good faith.

So. In broad terms, describe Doodlebird and FILL IN THE BLANKS:
