when i was a kid i wanted to be tall, funny, and smart and: mission accomplished, frankly. now all i have left aspiration-wise are creative professions (although i still can't grow a beard)

man I don't know my life goals are like, medium term at best honestly

- employed, preferably in some kind of video game capacity, generally serving the above bullet point

I don't really like, particularly desire fame or mastery of my craft I just want to be comfortable I guess
if you want to be longer term I guess I'd probably like to be like a not shitty parent some day I guess make that number three

i wanted to be good at computers but i was unwittingly being pressured into it by everyone around me. snapped out of it, went into businesses and am still shunned being my back.

i guess more sincerely and more practically, i want to be happy, living with gen, and improving at my art. and i'm on the way to doing all this, i just have to keep working.
but when i think about myself, the kind of person i was as a kid and the kind of person i feel like i still am, i think about who i'd rather be:
- someone with more hard-earned skill and good work ethic
- someone who hasn't had severe self-loathing since 5th grade

The kind of person who when seeing this thread would think of career aspirations or medium-term life goals before it's taken as a chance to remind themselves how tired they are, of not being constantly one step back from any situation, detached and secondhand in all their experiences. where the surface of all things - including their desires and motives - are flimsy veneer to a cavernous Self which only seems to exist and be defined through context with the Other

I forgot who I wanted to be.
All I remember is that I didn't want to be someone already out there. Find something for myself. Ignore things like "labels" and "descriptions" and categories and instead define myself by my own actions.
